What is orca?
orca is an agent companion and worktree orchestration system for running coding agents side by side. It sends prompts to isolated git worktrees, streams agent output, and keeps session history and diffs available for review. Orca is primarily written in TypeScript, with Swift and Kotlin mobile components.

36,965 files and 177,087 symbols in 13 modules, led by TypeScript (33,831 files) and JavaScript (1,325).
Code health
This codebase scores 9.2 out of 10 for code health, which we rate excellent. It also scores maintainability 9.1 and static performance 9.9 out of 10. The three are scored separately and never blended into one number. Risk is concentrated, as it usually is: 667 of 36,965 files are git hotspots, and they average 8.0 — which is where the fixes pay off most.

Key features of orca
- Orca runs Codex, ClaudeCode, OpenCode, Pi, and other CLI agents side by side in separate worktrees.
- Orca can fan one prompt across five agents so their results can be compared and merged.
- Orca provides terminal splits with WebGL rendering, infinite splits, and restart-persistent scrollback.
- Orca lets users inspect a Chromium UI element and send its HTML, CSS, and a cropped screenshot to an agent.
- Orca supports SSH worktrees with file editing, git, terminals, auto-reconnect, and port forwarding.
- Orca lets users annotate AI diff lines and send review comments back to an agent.
How stablyai/orca works
Input enters through the desktop and mobile interfaces or Orca CLI commands. The orchestration system creates isolated worktrees and agent sessions, then streams their output back into the interface. The src directory holds the main application and orchestration code. The mobile directory provides mobile session interfaces for monitoring and steering agents. The cloud directory contains the relay that pairs the mobile app with a desktop host. The tests directory covers application behavior, including CLI skills and SSH migration links. Resulting session history, terminal activity, worktrees, and diffs can be browsed and reviewed in Orca.
The codebase has 36,965 files and 177,087 symbols in 13 modules, led by TypeScript, JavaScript and Swift. Code health is 9.2 out of 10, rated excellent.

About this page
Get a page like this for your own codebase
Repowise built this map of stablyai/orca from its source and git history. It parses every symbol, draws the dependency graph, scores each file's health from complexity, duplication, coverage and churn, finds hotspots and owners in the history, and writes documentation for every module. Your coding agent reads the same index over MCP, so its answers cite real files.
Prefer local? pip install repowise && repowise init indexes your own checkout, no account needed.
