On this page
Augment Code costs $20 a month on Standard or $100 a month on Business, flat for up to 50 seats, and the included usage equals the plan price. Beyond that you top up or pay as you go, and LLM usage carries a 40% service fee on top of the model provider's list price, per augmentcode.com/pricing on 29 October 2026. Enterprise is custom.
| Plan | Price | Included | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $20 a month | $20 of usage a month, pooled | Up to 50, no per-seat charge |
| Business | $100 a month | $100 of usage a month, pooled | Up to 50, no per-seat charge |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom usage and top-ups, volume-based annual discounts | Unlimited users |

How does Augment Code pricing work?
Augment Code bills in dollars of usage, not messages. The pricing page measures usage across LLM inference, the Context Engine and compute. A plan includes a dollar amount of that usage each month, and when it runs out you buy top-ups or pay as you go. Top-ups that are not part of a paid plan expire 12 months after purchase.
On Standard and Business, usage and top-ups are pooled across the whole team. A seat is any team member with access to the Augment workspace, and there is no seat fee, so a 3-person team and a 45-person team pay the same flat price. Teams above 50 seats go to Enterprise.
What is the 40% fee on Augment Code?
LLM usage is billed at the model provider's public API list price plus a flat 40% service fee, and compute has no fee. So $10 of provider-priced model usage costs $14 on Augment. The pricing page does not publish a separate price for the Context Engine, which draws from the same dollar balance.
How much does Augment Code cost per year?
The flat plan is $240 a year on Standard and $1,200 on Business, and that buys $240 or $1,200 of pooled usage. Whether that covers your team depends on how hard the agents run, and the page gives no conversion from dollars to tasks or messages, so we did not invent one.
| Team | Standard, flat | Business, flat | What decides the rest |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 developers | $240 a year | $1,200 a year | Top-ups once pooled usage runs out |
| 20 developers | $240 a year | $1,200 a year | Same plan price, faster pool depletion |
| 50 developers | $240 a year | $1,200 a year | Over 50 seats, Enterprise quote |

Read the table as the floor. Divide the included dollars by headcount: $20 a month across 20 developers is $1 each, so a team that uses Augment daily will be buying top-ups. Measure a week of real use, then price the top-ups at the 40% LLM fee.
What is Augment Code's Context Engine, and is it priced separately?
The Context Engine is Augment's index of your codebase that agents query for relevant code. It is metered inside the same dollar balance as LLM and compute usage, and the pricing page lists "MCP and native tools" as a plan feature without a separate price. See Augment Context Engine alternatives for the options that serve the same job to Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
What does Augment Code do well?
Augment is a coding agent with a deep context engine, and its pricing suits teams that want one vendor for the agent and the context. One flat price covers up to 50 people, usage is pooled so one heavy user does not need a bigger seat, and Business adds more included usage for heavier teams.
Pick Augment Code if you want its agent in your editor and one bill for the model, the context and the compute.
How does repowise price context?
repowise is the context layer for any agent, so you compare the cost of context, not editor against editor. Plans follow repositories and credits, per the pricing page on 29 October 2026. Free is $0 for two public repositories with ten AI answers a month. Pro is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly, with private repositories, auto-sync on every push, 5 indexed repositories and $5 of AI credits a month. Teams is $16 a seat a month billed yearly, 3-seat minimum, with 25 pooled repositories and a shared credit pool of $5 per seat.
Credits are real dollars spent only on model work such as answers and AI review. The code graph, semantic search, hotspots and ownership analysis never use credits, so the index queries your agents make are not metered. Your agent's own model bill stays with whichever agent you use. See AI context for what the index serves.
Which should you pick?
Pick Augment Code if you want a single agent product with its own context engine and flat team pricing up to 50 seats.
Pick repowise if you already use Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Copilot and want shared, unmetered context for all of them, with the model bill paid directly to the agent vendor with no service fee layered on.
Use both if Augment is your editor agent and you want the same index serving your other agents over MCP.
How we checked
On 29 October 2026 we read the plans, usage rules and fees on augmentcode.com/pricing. Every Augment figure above comes from that page. Yearly figures are our arithmetic on list prices. repowise figures come from its pricing page. The Augment page does not convert dollars to tasks, so we did not estimate real monthly bills, and we did not run both tools on the same work.
