FREQUENTLY ASKED

AI code review cost, answered

How much does AI code review cost per year?

For 20 developers opening 10 pull requests each a month, list prices come to about $408 a year for repowise AI review on every pull request plus its Pro plan, $2,400 for Greptile Base reviews, $2,400 to $3,600 for Cursor Bugbot, $4,560 for GitHub Copilot Business seats, $5,760 for CodeRabbit Essentials and $36,000 to $60,000 for Claude Code Review.

Is repowise 10 times cheaper than other AI code review tools?

Per review, yes: repowise AI review averages about 9 cents a pull request, against $1 for a Greptile Base review, $1.00 to $1.50 for a Bugbot run, about $1.50 for a Copilot review at its default level and $15 to $25 for Claude Code Review. Per year the multiple grows with team size, because the Pro plan is a fixed cost: for 20 developers opening 10 pull requests each a month it is 14x against CodeRabbit Essentials and 5.9x against Greptile Base.

How is the repowise cost worked out?

AI review costs about 9 cents a pull request on average, paid from credits with no per-seat or per-repo fee. The calculator multiplies that by your pull requests a year and adds Pro at $192 a year billed yearly, its price for new subscribers from November 2026, which private repositories need. Signals, the deterministic review, is free on every repository and is not counted.

Where do the other prices come from?

Each vendor's own pricing page or docs, read on October 2026, linked in the table below the calculator. Per-review tools are priced at one review per pull request; a second review after a push costs again on most of them.

Why does CodeRabbit get cheaper per review for busy teams?

CodeRabbit charges per developer, with no limit on the number of pull requests beyond an hourly allowance, so the more pull requests each developer opens, the less each review costs. Per-review tools cost the same per review at any volume.

Review every pull request for cents.

Signals is free and deterministic on every repository. AI review is paid from credits per pull request, with a cap on every PR and no seat fee.
